I like a challenge- remember the West Highland Way, the 100 books in 2011, the Photo a Day challenge... you get the idea right? So this year I needed a new challenge. And Kateri felt the same way. You would think that given we come up with endless content for newsletters we would be able to come up with a snappy title that would tell you everything right?
Wrong.
It was the "monthly montage" (bleurgh, and is apparantly inspired by South Park! Southpark? really?)
It failed to become either the Olympic Challenge (due to lack of sports), the 12/12 challenge (Yawnsville)
It stopped briefly on "C&K's Crafty Challenge" but not for long.
It seems we've called it a halt somewhere around... {and this requires a drumroll...}
Dumbledore's Dastardly Daring Deeds.
Yeah, I know what you are thinking. It probably looks like a giant questionmark. We will probably shorten it to the 4D Challenge.
Oh, and if you didn't know... this is Dumbledore. (He will probably feature in the photos on occasion).

{and an excuse to post a picture of Lexie when she was very teeny}
not this...

So what is the challenge? It has 6 parts (yeah, I know the 4D Challenge has 6 sections...) and we have to complete each section every month.
Part 1: Create a Photo Montage of your month (a nice easy one!)
Part 2: Read a book- we will each take it in turns to nominate a book, I picked for January and we are both reading Steig Larson's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo", we also have to blog a review.
Part 3: Complete a GirlGuiding badge. This month we are tackling the World Guiding goes Tartan badge.
Part 4: Craft! Complete a craft project from scratch and blog about it. If you don't do it, you have to blog about a craft that didn't make the cut.
Part 5: Exercise. Since both of us feel the need to move our butts a bit more we have set a Wii Fit Challenge. Kateri chose this month's and set a simple challenge of 420 minutes of exercise on the Wii Fit (works out to two sessions of 30 minutes a week).
Part 6: Try something new. This can be anything, something you could eat, do, place to visit, exercise...
There you have it- the 2012 challenge of 6 random things I need to do each month. I'm sure they will be easier some month's than others.
