This is my badge tab. I wear most of my special shineys on this. Otherwise known as pin badges. Up until last week it contained my promise badge, my pax lodge pin, my west highland way pin and my very battered but much loved green Blue Peter badge.
From this week it also contains my super new shiney. My Leadership Qualification for Senior Section.
Since I started volunteering with GirlGuiding I knew I would need to complete the Leadership Qualification. It still makes my heart sink to think about it. It's not all that much work in reality- most of it you complete through the normal process of Guiding in a meeting based environment- planning, running activities, communicating with parents, risk assessments. Not quite as easy for Lones, where everything is done remotely. I've had to be really creative about completing the qualification- going to all kinds of training, using experiences from my past life as a Prince's Trust Team Leader, volunteering to run all kinds of things and harrassing the county to fit me on a First Aid course.
It might have taken a couple of years to meet all of the requirements (including the optional Accounts section!) but I'm rather proud of finishing it. Which is handy at least 4of the girls in my unit are working on their Adult Leader Qualification.

Your comments worked! I just have verification on (required unfortunately). Thanks. You should post a pic of your tab- I love the ones where people have squeezed on about 10 badges with very careful pinning, despite the "four badge" reccommendation .
